Travel accessories startup Escape Plan is bolstering its leadership tearn to fuel its next growth phase. Pankaj Shroff, formerly CFO at Porter, joins as CFO to lead financial strategy. Soumen Samanta, ex-CXO at Blissclub, will be the Chief Business Officer. Anuj Singh, previously with Samsonite, will head sourcing, and Rohit Rungta is appointed as Chief Commercial Officer.
Design-led travel accessories startup Escape Plan has strengthened its leadership bench with senior hires across finance, sourcing, commercial, creative and growth as it prepares for its next phase of expansion, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The company has appointed Pankaj Shroff as Chief Financial Officer. A seasoned finance professional, Shroff brings over two decades of experience across KPMG, Ernst & Young, Hindustan National Glass, and Porter, where he rose from Head of Finance to CFO. His expertise spans corporate finance, investor relations, treasury, and compliance. At Escape Plan, Shroff will steer the company's financial strategy and profitability agenda.
Joining him in the leadership team are:
Soumen Samanta, former CXO at-Blissclub, as Founding Member & Chief Business Officer, overseeing online and offline P&L, category strategy, operations, and marketing-tech functions. He has previously worked with Meesho, Swiggy, Myntra, Aditya Birla, and Landmark Group.
Anuj Singh, ex-Director of Sourcing at Samsonite South Asia, who will head sourcing and vendor management.
Rohit Rungta, with prior stints at Wipro and Cuemath, as Chief Commercial Officer, focusing on corporate strategy, fundraising, and operational efficiency.
Founded by Abhinav Pathak (ex-founder of Perpule, acquired by Amazon) and Abhinav Zutshi (ex-COO of Splash and former Business Head of Forever 21 India), Escape Plan has quickly scaled in the travel gear segment. Backed by Fireside Ventures and Jungle Ventures, the company reported an annual revenue run rate (ARR) of ₹100 crore within its first quarter.
