Escape Plan Raises $5M to Redefine Travel Essentials for the Modern Explorer Escape Plan, a Bengaluru-based travel accessories startup, has raised $5 million in a seed funding round co-led by Jungle Ventures (via its FirstCheque Jungle initiative) and Fireside Ventures. The round also saw participation from several prominent D2C-focused angel investors. Founded in 2025 by Abhinav Pathak (co-founder of Perpule, acquired by Amazon) and Abhinav Zutshi (former COO at Landmark Group), Escape Plan is on a mission to modernise mobility essentials with a mix of functional design, quick delivery, and omnichannel access. The fresh capital will be used to expand product categories, grow inventory, and deepen partnerships with leading lifestyle brands. It will also support Escape Plan’s retail expansion strategy, targeting over 100 locations across India in the next two years. Escape Plan currently operates stores in 6–7 cities, and is building its own ecommerce platform to strengthen its full-stack omnichannel model-including offline retail, D2C, marketplaces, and sub-2-hour quick commerce for travel needs. The brand’s curated lineup features luggage, backpacks, slings, organizers, and passport covers, all built around modular design and collaborative drops. The company is also investing heavily in supply chain and fulfilment infrastructure to meet real-time travel demands. #Travel #Essentials #Modern #Retail #lifestyle #d2c #mobility
